Terms of Service

1. About skillbnb

skillbnb is a career platform with three parts:

• Career shadowing: Explorers book experiences with Providers, professionals who share their real work.
• Career Agent: a subscription for candidates in fashion and creative work, with AI career guidance, portfolio analysis, and the option to be found by recruiters.
• skillbnb Hire: lets brands, studios and other recruiters search candidates who chose to be visible, and request an introduction.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use skillbnb. Candidates confirm this before their profile becomes visible to recruiters. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

3. Career Shadowing: Explorers and Providers

Explorers

By booking an experience, you agree to:

• Arrive on time and prepared for the agreed session.
• Complete the pre-session questionnaire honestly.
• Respect the Provider's workplace, colleagues, and confidential information.
• Submit post-session feedback to unlock your Career Decision Index (CDI) score.

Providers

By listing an experience, you agree to:

• Deliver the experience as described at the time and location confirmed.
• Complete post-session feedback within 7 days of the session.
• Not solicit Explorers to transact outside the skillbnb platform.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including workplace safety regulations.

Bookings and payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a booking, the Explorer authorises skillbnb to charge the listed price, which includes skillbnb's service fee. Funds are released to the Provider 7 days after the session, provided no dispute has been raised.

Cancellations and refunds

• Explorer cancellations: more than 48 hours before the session, full refund. Within 48 hours, 50% is refunded and 50% goes to the Provider, unless the Provider cancels first.
• Provider cancellations: the Explorer is refunded in full automatically.
• No-shows: an Explorer who doesn't attend without notice is not refunded. If a Provider doesn't attend, the Explorer is refunded in full.

Check-in and disputes

Both parties confirm attendance with the skillbnb check-in system at the start and end of each session. Either party may open a dispute (for example no-show, misconduct or misrepresentation) within 7 days of the session date. skillbnb reviews the dispute and makes the final decision on releasing funds.

4. Career Agent Subscription

• Price and renewal. The Career Agent is a monthly subscription at the price shown before you subscribe, including applicable taxes. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Free first month. If you have never subscribed before, your first 30 days are free. We ask for your card when you start, and charge the monthly price when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. The free month is offered once per person.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the Subscription panel. You keep access until the end of the current month and are not charged again. Months already started are not refunded, except as required by law.
• Right of withdrawal (EU). If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days. Because the service starts as soon as you subscribe, if you withdraw we refund the subscription minus the part of the period you have already used.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, you keep full access for 14 days while we retry your card. If it still hasn't gone through by then, access is paused until the payment succeeds. Your profile is not shown to recruiters while your subscription is inactive.
• Hired refund. If a client hires you through skillbnb Hire and confirms the hire on skillbnb, and you then publish a session as a Provider that receives a real (confirmed or completed) booking, you can ask us to refund the Career Agent subscription fees you paid. Ask through support; we check these conditions before refunding. This offer is in addition to, and does not limit, your legal rights.
• No guaranteed outcome. The subscription gives you tools and the option to be found. It does not guarantee matches, introductions, work or income.

5. skillbnb Hire and Introductions

skillbnb helps recruiters and candidates find each other. skillbnb is not a model agency, employment agency, or party to any work arrangement. We do not negotiate, sign or pay for engagements. Any agreement is made directly between the recruiter and the candidate, who are each responsible for its terms and for complying with applicable law.

Candidates

• You choose whether your profile is visible, and you can hide it at any time.
• Recruiters only get your full name and contact links if you accept their intro request.
• Your portfolio and details must be accurate and your own.

Recruiters

By using skillbnb Hire, you agree to:

• Contact candidates only about genuine, lawful opportunities, and describe them honestly.
• Never ask candidates for money, fees, paid photo shoots or paid training as a condition of work.
• Use candidates' information only to evaluate and contact them about your opportunity, never copy, share, sell or publish it.
• Not select or exclude candidates for any role based on ethnicity, religion, disability, age or other protected characteristics, except where a genuine and lawful casting requirement applies (for example when casting a Model or content creator for a specific look).
• Respect a candidate's decision to decline, and not contact them outside skillbnb without consent.

We may suspend Hire access or remove a candidate profile, without notice, if we believe these rules are broken. Please report any suspicious request to contact@skillbnb.io.

6. Your Content

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you upload. You give skillbnb a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process (including analysis by AI), and display that content to operate skillbnb, for example to show your portfolio to recruiters while your profile is visible. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for anonymised data and copies we must keep by law.

You confirm that you have the right to upload your content. Portfolio photos are often owned by the photographer or brand: make sure you are allowed to use them in a portfolio, and that people who can be identified in them have agreed.

7. Career Decision Index (CDI) and AI Guidance

The CDI score is generated from the Explorer's questionnaire responses and the Provider's feedback. CDI scores, Career Agent answers, and match rankings are guidance only. They are produced partly by AI, can be wrong, and are not professional career, legal or financial advice.

Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may delete your account and associated personal data at any time from your account settings.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use skillbnb for any unlawful purpose.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against any other user.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or impersonate anyone.
• Upload content you don't have the right to use.
• Circumvent the platform to arrange off-platform transactions for bookings.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of skillbnb, including candidate profiles.

9. Intellectual Property

skillbnb's own content, including the CDI methodology, brand assets, and software, is owned by skillbnb and may not be reproduced without written permission. Content you upload remains yours (see Section 6).

10. Limitation of Liability

skillbnb is a platform that connects people. We are not responsible for the conduct of users, for sessions, or for any work arrangement between recruiters and candidates. To the maximum extent permitted by law, skillbnb's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid skillbnb in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. skillbnb may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. If we terminate a paid subscription for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused part of the current period.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by email or with a prominent notice before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance; if you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), and disputes are subject to the courts of Taiwan. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring proceedings there.
