Terms of Service

1. About Skillbnb

Skillbnb is a career discovery platform that connects Explorers (people seeking career insights) with Providers (professionals who share their real work experience). Skillbnb facilitates bookings and payments but is not a party to the experience itself.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Skillbnb. By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.

3. User Roles

Explorers

Explorers book career shadowing experiences offered by Providers. By booking an experience, you agree to:

• Arrive on time and prepared for the agreed session.
• Complete the pre-session questionnaire honestly.
• Respect the Provider's workplace, colleagues, and confidential information.
• Submit post-session feedback to unlock your Career Discovery Index (CDI) score.

Providers

Providers list career shadowing experiences on Skillbnb. By listing an experience, you agree to:

• Deliver the experience as described at the time and location confirmed.
• Complete post-session feedback within 7 days of the session.
• Not solicit Explorers to transact outside the Skillbnb platform.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including workplace safety regulations.

4. Bookings and Payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing a booking, the Explorer authorises Skillbnb to charge the listed price. Funds are held and released to the Provider 7 days after the session date, provided no dispute has been raised.

Skillbnb charges a platform service fee which is included in the listed price shown to Explorers.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• Explorer cancellations: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable unless the Provider cancels first.
• Provider cancellations: If a Provider cancels a confirmed booking, the Explorer receives a full refund automatically.
• No-shows: If an Explorer does not attend without prior notice, no refund is issued. If a Provider does not attend, the Explorer receives a full refund.

6. Check-in and Check-out

Both parties are required to confirm attendance via the Skillbnb check-in system at the start and end of each session. Failure to check out within 24 hours of the session end time may result in the booking being automatically closed.

7. Disputes

If a dispute arises regarding a session (e.g. no-show, misconduct, misrepresentation), either party may open a dispute within 24 hours of the session end time. Skillbnb will review the dispute and make a final determination on fund release. Skillbnb's decision is final.

8. Career Discovery Index (CDI) and Data Use

The CDI score is generated from questionnaire responses provided by the Explorer and feedback provided by the Provider. CDI scores are personal to the Explorer and are intended as guidance only — they do not constitute professional career advice.

By booking a session, you agree that your pre-session questionnaire, Provider assessment, and post-session feedback will be used to generate your CDI score and to improve Skillbnb's career discovery features, including our AI-powered career agent. This processing is necessary to deliver the core service you have purchased.

Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time from your account settings.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Skillbnb for any unlawful purpose.
• Harass, abuse, or discriminate against any other user.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Circumvent the platform to arrange off-platform transactions.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Skillbnb platform.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Skillbnb platform — including the CDI methodology, brand assets, and software — is owned by Skillbnb and may not be reproduced without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

Skillbnb is a marketplace platform. We are not responsible for the conduct of Providers or Explorers during sessions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skillbnb's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant booking.

12. Termination

Skillbnb reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Skillbnb after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taiwan.
